To be a leader means to folow your own lead.To do what you know is right regardless of what the rest of the world is doing. We see people break rules all the time. When they break the rules you notice that the rule is not established but because of being a leader you will do what is right regardless of what other people do. To be a leader you have to accept others differences and not crush their faults but show them the way to act by being a light to them. We know some things are not proper or right but we should not take our lead in telling them what we think instead we should pray about it and then go to them in a good way. To be a leader requires wisdom. To be slow to speak and patient with other people. To be a encourager then to be a person who egs on the situation and dwell on their problem with them. To build their confidence. To let them know they are a can- doer.God made evryone a can-doer. To be a leader is to not share other peoples information that they share with you. It is their job to display their personal life if they choose to. To not talk about people we cannot handle being around but just to pray for them and ask God to help us understand them. We all need a knowledge of other peoples ways. If we put ourselves in other peoples shoes instead of crushing and throwing them away for their faults. We all were not born a christian. We have all walked a sinful life before being saved. To be a leader is to grab those who are being in harms way with harsh judgement and be a friend and tell them you love them. We all are suppose to love everybody. We are suppose to love our enemies. To be a leader is to add people in our circle regardless of what other people think. To be a leader is to pray for people who are in deep need. To love them regardless of what they have done. Forgiveness has to always be a given to be a leader. We have to forgive people and still love them and be nice. To help those who are hurting and help them to the fullest. We don't always hear from other people that their sorry and at times they are wrong and at times we are wrong so we have to look at the situation and evaluate what happen and forgive those that wronged us and if we were wrong we need to apologize. Sometimes the truth hurts and it cannot be put any better. We just have to move on and forget about yesterday and live for this day and start a new way of thinking and acting.

1 Peter 5:2, 3 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
Leaders are to lead by example, not as a "lord" (dictator), (sheep can be led, goats are driven)
Of course the bottom line is that a leader's motivation should be a love for souls, remembering we are helping to build God's kingdom, not our own kingdom.
In our church we don't have any big "I"s and little "u"s, we are all co-laborers together and God is no respector of persons and neither should we.
We are all part of the body of Christ and all parts are needful.
We should help to edify each other and not tear each other down realizing we are all human and we all have our faults we need to work on.
It is good that you brought up the topic of leaders, as it is a serious responsibility because leaders can help make a difference in people's lives for good if they handle their responsbility according to scripture.
